Aaron Rodgers: We took Saints for granted and thought we would have easy job

Aaron Rodgers suggested that the Green Bay Packers took the New Orleans Saints for granted and that was one of the reasons behind their catastrophic Week 1 loss.

New Orleans was hit with Hurricane Ida so the Saints hosted the Packers in Jacksonville and claimed a shock 38-3 win.

It was the worst loss of Rodgers’ career and the reigning NFL MVP ended up benched for Jordan Love in garbage time.

Rodgers himself had a disappointing performance as he went 15-of-28 for 133 yards and two interceptions.

“Yeah, I think so,” Rodgers said, via the team’s website. “I think there’s probably some of that. We probably felt like we were going to go up and down the field on whoever they had out there. . . . This is a good kick in the you-know-where to hopefully get us going in the right direction.”
