Adrian Peterson explains why he is still playing at 36

Adrian Peterson believes he can still compete at a high level and serve as an inspiration to other players in the league.

Peterson, 36, was cut by the Tennessee Titans in late November but refused to retire.

This week the Seattle Seahawks signed 2012 NFL MVP Peterson to their practice squad.

“Just the love for the game,” Peterson said. “I love the game. I feel like I can still compete at a high level. Just having the opportunity to help teams, to inspire guys. That’s one of the most rewarding things. When I see guys, and they say to me, ‘Man, just keep doing what you’re doing,’ it’s so inspiring.”
