2012 NFL MVP Adrian Peterson is hopeful that an NFL team will give him a chance to play his 15th season in the league.
Peterson, who spent last season with the Detroit Lions, is still a free agent.
Peterson, 36, ran for 604 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
“The training is going well, and I’m going to control the things that I can control right now, and, when that time comes, somebody will give me a call,” Peterson said, according to Sports Talk 790’s Aaron Wilson.
“That’s all I’m asking for. My body feels good. I came out healthy from last season. My body feels strong. I still feel young. I still feel good. I’m ready to play ball.”
Peterson, who is one of the greatest running backs in NFL history, has never won a Super Bowl and he is hoping to sign with a contender.
