Asante Samuel calls out Bill Belichick over Tom Brady admission

Former New England Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel didn’t buy Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s public praise of Tom Brady.

Brady was reportedly unhappy with his say in how the Patriots were run and in 2020 he left the team after 20 seasons to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Patriots wanted Brady to return but they didn’t appear to be too much invested in it and they let the quarterback walk away.

This Sunday, Brady returns to Foxboro to face the Patriots for the first time since their split.

Brady led the Patriots to six Super Bowl victories.

When asked if he would have had the same success with another quarterback, Belichick said: “Of course not.”

Reacting to Belichick’s comments, Samuel wrote on Twitter: “The thing about life is if your words don’t match your actions you’re just blowing smoking.”
