Ja’Marr Chase aims to put Patrick Peterson on his ‘highlight tape’

Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is hoping to put three-time First-team All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson on his highlight tape when his team takes on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.

Chase, who played college football at LSU, was taken at No. 5 in this past NFL draft.

On the other side, Peterson is one of the best defensive backs LSU has produced.

“I could put Patrick Peterson on my highlight tape,” Chase said, per ESPN. “He might be mad I’m saying it, but hey, you know what I’m saying, it’s part of the game. I’d love to make a play on him.”

Chase didn’t impress in the preseason, dropping four of his five targets.

“I see the way that he prepares in the building, during practice, so I don’t have those concerns,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said. “We’ll just move forward and I expect big things from him.”
