Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has acknowledged that not having Pro Bowl guard Zack Martin available for Week 1 will be a big blow for his team.
Four days before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, Martin tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the game.
Not having Martin is a significant blow for the Cowboys but Elliott underlined that those available need to go out and do everything they can to get the job done.
“Zack’s our best player on our offense,” Elliott said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. “I mean most runs, they coming back behind him. It’s disappointing but you can’t harp on it, can’t let it be more than what it is. I mean, definitely going to miss him, definitely wish he was out there, but we still have a game to go play and we got to try and get the job done.”
