Patriots’ Mac Jones speaks highly of Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs ahead of Week 6 matchup

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones showed respect for Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs ahead of their matchup.

Through the first six games of the season, Diggs leads the NFL with six interceptions — Diggs alone has more interceptions than 27 other NFL teams.

Jones and Diggs are no strangers to each other since they played college football at Alabama.

“Oh yeah, he definitely made plays,” Jones said, when asked if he was intercepted by Diggs in practice at Alabama.

Jones acknowledged that he will have to be aware of Diggs at all times this Sunday.

“Yeah. For sure. He’s all over the tape. He’s sideline to sideline making plays, playing his technique, and you have to be aware of where he is at all times,” Jones said.
