Saquon Barkley gives update on his condition after Buccaneers loss

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley acknowledged he felt good after Monday Night Football but added that it will take him time before he finds his rhythm on the field.

After missing four consecutive games with an ankle injury, Barkley rushed six times for 25 yards and caught six passes for 31 yards in a 30-10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It has been tough last two seasons for Barkley as the running back suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury in Week 2 of last season.

“It’s not the bang-up thing it’s just getting my feet caught back up again,” Barkley said. “It’s a little frustrating to have to sit out again and come back and feel like how I was Week One. Getting my feet caught back up. That just comes with missing a little time and just getting my body back. I’m going to do whatever it takes to continue to get my body back. To get my brain and my feet and my legs caught up together. That starts with this week. Obviously, we got a short week. We got a big game coming up against the Eagles and just take it one day at a time and get better.”
