Tom Brady: Mike Evans is one of great all-time receivers and future Hall of Famer

Mike Evans was the forgotten man during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys but Tom Brady insists the wide receiver will get his targets and yards going forward.

Evans, who has had at least 1,000 receiving yards in each season since coming to the NFL in 2014, had only three catches for 24 yards against the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.

Instead, Brady was finding other receivers and the Buccaners escaped with a 31-29 win.

“Mike didn’t have as many [yards] but Mike’s going to get his, I have no doubt,” Brady said. “He had an incredible [training] camp. He’s one of the great all-time receivers and will be a Hall of Famer at some point. For me it’s just a matter of finding the open guy.”
