Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence took all the blame following his team’s Week 1 loss to the Houston Texans.
In his first official NFL start, Lawrence went 28-of-51 for 332 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions as the Texans routed the Jaguars 37-21.
Throwing three picks was devastating for the Jaguars and Lawrence admitted his performance was bad and disappointing.
“It obviously sucks,” Lawrence said. “Losing’s always hard, especially when you feel like you’re prepared and had a great week and really think we were ready. Just obviously didn’t play well. It starts with me. I played really bad tonight. Disappointing for sure.”
